The city of Cordova is located in Walker County in north-central Alabama, 35 miles from Birmingham. Encompassing 5.9 square miles, Cordova is situated on the Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River along U.S. Highway 78. Originally a textile mill town, the city is home to over 2,000 residents and the nationally historic Gilchrist House.
