The city of Centreville, the seat of Bibb County, is located in the heart of Alabama and is home to approximately 2,800 residents. The city was built at the location of a waterfall on the Cahaba River and is noted for its historic district and courthouse. The Cahaba River Historical Park is maintained by the city and provides picnic areas, primitive camping, recreational vehicle accommodations, a boat ramp, trails, and a meeting space.
