Welcome to the town of Cottonwood

Cottonwood is a town located in Houston County in the southeast corner of Alabama and is part of the Dothan metropolitan area. The town is named after a lone cottonwood tree that was alive in the early 1800’s during the time of its founding. With over 1,200 residents, Cottonwood is situated seven miles from the Florida state line along Alabama State Route 53.
