Fruithurst is located in east-central Cleburne County in the northeastern part of the state. Schools in Fruithurst are part of the Cleburne County school system. The town lies east of the Shoal Creek Ranger District of the Talladega National Forest, which offers numerous outdoor recreational activities, including camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, and swimming.
