Welcome to the town of Gordo

The town of Gordo is located in west-central Alabama along U.S. Highway 82, situated 25 miles from the Mississippi state line. As the second largest municipality in Pickens County, Gordo is home to nearly 1,700 residents and encompasses 3.2 square miles. The town has a largely agricultural-based economy and hosts an annual Mule Day/Chickenfest celebration in June.
