The city of Henagar is located in DeKalb County in northeast Alabama. With nearly 2,300 residents, Henagar is home to one junior high school that provides education for 359 students. Every July, Henagar hosts the Sand Mountain Potato Festival as a tribute to the area’s farming roots, featuring a horseshoe tournament, live music, children’s games, and food vendors.
