town of Lockhart

Welcome to the town of Lockhart

The town of Lockhart is located in Covington County in south-central Alabama just northwest of the Florida state line. Originally a company town, Lockhart was incorporated in 1904 when the Jackson Lumber Company mill was constructed in the area. With over 500 residents today, Lockhart offers a strong retail industry and close proximity to several outdoor recreational areas, including the Florala State Park and the Conecuh National Forest.
