Welcome to the city of Monroeville

The City of Monroeville is located in Monroe County in south Alabama between Montgomery and Mobile. Known as “The Literary Capital of Alabama,” Monroeville is a tourist draw as the home of famous literary figure Harper Lee, author of To Kill a Mocking Bird. The city has over 6,000 residents and a 92-acre industrial development park on Highway 21 South.
