The town of Mount Vernon is located in Mobile County in the southwestern corner of Alabama. With nearly 1,600 residents, Mount Vernon encompasses 1.9 square miles and is intersected by U.S. Highway 43/State Highway 13. The town offers several recreational amenities and sites, including two city parks, a community center, and the Mount Vernon Historical Museum.
