Welcome to the town of Nauvoo

The town of Nauvoo is located in northwest Walker County in central Alabama along State Highway 5. Originally a center for coal mining, Nauvoo was founded in 1888 during the construction of the Northern Alabama Railway. Today the town encompasses one square mile and is home to over 210 residents.
