The town of Notasulga is a dual-county municipality located in Lee and Macon Counties in east-central Alabama. Encompassing 14 square miles, Notasulga is home to nearly 870 residents and is part of the Auburn Metropolitan Area. Notasulga translates to “many teeth” in Muskogean, the Creek Indian language. The town is also the birth place of famous author Zora Neale Hurston.
