The town of Oakman is located in southern Walker County in west-central Alabama. With nearly 790 residents, Oakman encompasses 3.1 square miles along State Highway 69/18. The town is home to several historic sites, including the Old York USA Heritage and Music Park, the Stephenson House, and the Tubbs Cemetery.
