The city of Opp, located on a direct route from Montgomery to the Florida beaches (20 miles north of the Florida state line on Highway 331), now has a population of approximately 6,600 people. The city is home to Frank Jackson State Park and its 1100-acre lake, Lake Frank Jackson, located on the north side of Opp.
