Welcome to the city of Sumiton

The city of Sumiton is located in both Jefferson County and Walker County in the heart of Alabama, with the majority of the town lying in eastern Walker County. With a population of around 2,500 residents, the town provides educational opportunities through the Walker County School system and a campus of Bevill State Community College. The Sumiton Frog Festival is held on Main Street the first Saturday in October, featuring arts and crafts, live music, food vendors, and entertainment.
