Welcome to the town of Wedowee

The town of Wedowee is located in east-central Alabama’s Piedmont Upland, part of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Wedoweee serves as the county seat of Randolph County. The town takes its name from a Creek Indian chief and the town’s adjacent stream that also bears his name. Wedowee encompasses 3.5 square miles and is home to over 800 residents.
